We launched reading notebooks this week! I’m so excited to have a place to really think about my reading. Everyone is doing an amazing job starting out their notebooks. Here are some examples…
I think that using a diagram is a good idea if you are confused in the beginning of the book.
I tried doing the character diagram, but it didn’t work out for me, so I just wrote a summary for the book I was reading. I going to try it again for another book that has a lot more characters, and see if that works for me.
I like that you tried a strategy and decided it’s not for you so you tried something else! Way to go! That’s what good readers do! Way to go, loverbooks!
I really like the reading notebooks because they really help make the book that you are reading make senses
i saw that all of them are nice and detailed.
I really like the character diagram because it will be fun and I think I want to try it . Summarys are fun but … last year I had to do a lot of them so there not my favorite .
I like to do connections like if I was in the story these things would happen and I would look like this and so on. 🙂
Awww… those pictures drawn by your nephew are so cute! Anyway, I like to plan out what happens in the Novel I’m writing, And I like to draw what I think the characters look like. The same as I do for other books.
I REALLY LIKE THE character diagram its nice and tells a lot about the book
I love all of these detailed helpful ideas they look like very fun strategy’s to understand your book!Id be lieing if i said I wouldn’t be using these!
I liked all of the summary’s and strategy’s but I think that I’m going to try the character diagram and see if that works for me.
I like just writing and making lists, diagrams don’t really work out for me :P.
Ill probably draw a diagram if i have to tell about it.
I would like to try making a character diagram sometime 🙂
I think I like the character diagram the most.
The one that I might so is the character sketch. The book that I am reading, the kids always change their names, so it would be so helpful.
I want to use some of these ideas in my notebook!
I really like the notebooks that you posted and really like the reading notebooks, because I finally have a place to write about things I’ve read and my opinions about the books. Also, I really like that I can record books I’ve read. Don’t get me wrong I like the online book log but, this one is easier to keep track of.
I like the first example with all the characters drawn on the page and the arrows telling their relationship with one another. It would help me organize all of the characters. I’m going to try that strategy.
I really liked the first picture, I thought that was cool how that person showed the book!
I like the diagram, and the illustrations in the notebooks.
It can really help people understand what’s happening in the book, and those pictures are really well-written in my opinion!
I really like the ideas in these these examples will help me a lot with my own writing
I really want to make a character diagram soon. It looks cool and it can help me understand each character’s role. 🙂
I love having reading notebooks! They are so much fun!
Nice! I like. And hey look! One of those are Grace’s! Cool!
what I like doing in my reading notebook is what I find interesting and next time I’ll do what imagery I find in my book.
I like these ideas, I probably need to start being more creative!
Yes! Mine is on the post! I might try the strategy of drawing the pictures to resemble the story though.
I think I will stick with quick character sketches, a summary of what I just read, and a few predictions. 😉
I think the reading notebooks are great ideas! It really helps me keep track of my reading and my thoughts about the books I’m reading. Sometimes when I read, I forget about what I’m thinking and what my thoughts were, and the reading notebooks help with that.
I`ll have to try some of this on my future work in my new book.
That was a great idea I think I should use it on my notebook.I betthese ideawill be in my brain
I haven’t tried the character drawing, but I think i am going to try it today or another day. 🙂
I just do a simple thing, I just list the things I like, or if I’ bored I list my favorite book ,novels, or stories. I liked them all really, but my favorite is probably going to be the character diagram, I did that once when I was starting a series, it really helped!
I love all of these pictures as well as all of these examples. I love how everybody took their time on every single picture. They turned out beautifully!
This is not Boron at all!
Yay:) Mine is on there! Everyone’s is so creative! I like all of the characters and how clear it is to see that what is what.. Like the labels for the characters…. PS, I love the nephew’s picture! That’s great for a five year old!!
I really liked the setting diagram one because it gave information in writing and in drawing and who ever drew that is a really good drawer.mine is the second one by the way
I really like these, they have given me ideas for what I can do in my notebook!
I haven’t tried the character drawing, but I think i am going to try it today or another day.
